is a Polish author and illustrator, based in Białowieża, the oldest forest in Europe. Maria loves to play with the absurd and mixes it with traditional techniques of creating illustrations. After earning art degrees from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and University of the Arts, London, she wrote and illustrated her first children's picture book, En Forêt (2016), which received a starred review in Kirkus. Her books Quand je serai grand and La souris qui voulait faire une omelette by Davide Calì (hélium 2016, 2017) have been translated into five languages. The illustrations from her book Mais où a filé Malo la Musaraigne? (hélium 2018) have been selected for Ilustrarte 2018. Maria’s works were on display in Poland and abroad: at
